Some Different Ways to Deal with
Stress and Anxiety
There are many different ways to
stop
stress and anxiety such as deep breathing, exercising,
getting some fresh air, medication, therapies and so on. If you
feel stressed and anxious, go outside and run or walk for 10-15
minutes. This form of exercise releases endorphins that can
help deal with stress and anxiety effectively.
The first step towards dealing
with anxiety is to face the situation and admit that you feel
stressed under certain circumstances. Try to understand the
situation and your reaction to it. This is necessary to be able
to eventually conquer the stress and anxiety. You need to keep
in mind that there is no such thing as a stress free life. As
long as we live, we will be facing many different situations
and we must learn to deal with stress and anxiety in order to
have a better quality of life for ourselves.
Be flexible and understand what
you can control and what you can’t control. Be around positive
people as often as possible. Laugh at life more often and have
a circle of friends who make you feel happy and comfortable.
Try to have a few light moments in a day with a friend, child,
spouse or a pet. These are natural ways to lower the level of
stress hormones in the body. It is equally important to eat
well and avoid stimulants. Healthy diets play a major role in
increasing the sense of well being. Nicotine and caffeine put
more stress on your nervous system, so it is best to stay away
from them.

Sharing your
fears with friends and family members is a great way to deal
with stress and anxiety. Talk to people you trust and share
your problems and difficulties with them. You may be surprised
to discover that they have similar feeling as you do and you
find you are not alone. Meditation is a great way of regaining
your composure and getting your mind back on track.
Changing the way you react to any
situation can also help you manage anxiety. It is important to
prioritize and then focus on one thing at a time. Identify the
factors, people or situations that cause you stress and then
try to find ways to avoid them as much as possible. Take a
break from the situation for a while and reorganize yourself.
Then return to the problem or issue with a fresh approach or
perspective.
Once you have done whatever you
can to handle any situation or problem, just let it go. Letting
go of excessive anxiety and stress is a matter of practice and
you must learn to do it.
